Bras for Girls

Intro call complete  ·  Partnership in progress  ·  Joelle Nausin, Corporate Giving & Volunteerism

On July 29, 2026, BFG held an intro call with Joelle Nausin (Alaska Airlines Corporate Giving & Volunteerism, Pacific Northwest). The conversation confirmed strong alignment across Alaska’s giving pillars — young people, career pathways, and in-kind support — and opened several concrete partnership pathways. Alaska does not typically give cash; they specialize in in-kind donations, volunteer engagement, and cargo & travel logistics support.

July 29, 2026  ·  Intro Call
Corporate partnership discussion explored giving pillars, volunteer opportunities, and logistics support.
Participants:
Rebecca Mehra — Board Member, Bras for Girls  ·  Jessica Morrow — Director of Operations & Strategic Partnerships, Bras for Girls  ·  Joelle Nausin — Corporate Giving & Volunteerism, Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines’ giving is structured around three pillars: young people, career pathways into aviation, and nonprofit fundraising via ticket donations. The company has limited cash to give and primarily provides experiences, in-kind donations, and logistical support.

BFG shared its mission — addressing the hidden barrier of sports bra access for young female athletes — and its work with 35+ brands, Title I school distribution, and the POWERFUL/UNSTOPPABLE/INVINCIBLE curriculum. Joelle noted strong alignment with Alaska’s focus on young people and career pathways.

Key outcomes: a 50% cargo shipping discount for nonprofit partners, manual baggage fee waivers for specific trips including the TCS NYC Marathon, introductions to Alaska’s Wing Women in Aviation and Women in IT Business Resource Groups, and a referral to Alaska’s new sports marketing hire for activation conversations. Alaska also donates airline tickets for live fundraising events such as auctions and galas.
